New Delhi| Ola Electric on Thursday announced that it has sold e-scooters worth 600 crores in a day from Wednesday. “We sold scooters worth over Rs 600 crore! This is more than the value sold by the entire two-wheeler industry in a single day! Make no mistake, the era of electric vehicles has arrived,” the company said in a statement.
According to media reports, Ola Electric Scooter has set a record of receiving one lakh bookings within the last 24 hours. It has become the highest booking pre-booked scooter in the world.

Selling 4 units of e-scooter every second
The company has received a good response on its decision to open the purchase window for the S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters. Ola CEO Bhavish Agarwal on Wednesday night announced that the company is selling four units of its e-scooter every second since the opening of the purchase window. Agarwal had further said that the units may sell out soon.
The price of S1 Pro is ₹ 1.30 lakh
Ola Electric has managed to create a huge buzz around its first product. The price of Ola S1 is Rs 1 lakh while the price of S1 Pro is Rs 1.30 lakh. These prices are ex-showroom and will vary from state to state depending on the subsidy on offer.
Range approx 180 kms
The Ola S1 has a range of around 120 kms while the S1 Pro has a range of around 180 kms. There are other differences between the two models such as the S1 Pro having more color options available, a higher top speed of 115 kmph and a bigger battery pack as well.
Delivery will start from October
Ola Electric is selling on the direct-to-home sales model. It has no store. Delivery of test rides and units will begin in October. Ola Electric has tied up with several financial institutions to offer loans and EMIs.
10 thousand women will get employment
Ola Electric Factory is called FutureFactory, in this 10,000 women will get employment. This is the largest electric factory run by women. Ola Futurefactory is running at full capacity. It is expected to launch 20 lakh units every year.
