Chennai . The dream of flying in the sky with a car in India is about to come true. A Chennai-based startup has developed the concept model of the country’s first flying car. Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia shared pictures of this model on his Twitter handle. It is being touted as Asia’s first hybrid flying car.
This model has been prepared by the youth team of Vinata Aeromobility, Chennai. Jyotiraditya Scindia met this team and examined the concept model of the flying car. He told that with this car people and goods can be moved from here to there. It will also prove to be very helpful in medical emergency. Scindia said that he was happy to see the concept model of the hybrid flying car. It is designed for two passengers.
ISRO’s space scientist Dr. A.E. Muthunayagam is the principal advisor. Retired US Air Force Colonel Don Zoldy is the Urban Air Mobility Consultant on the team.
Features of flying car…
1100 kg car weight.
Can lift a weight of 1300 kg.
Flying up to 3000 feet altitude.
Will fly for 60 minutes at a time.
No hassle of jam… Due to the ever-increasing population and number of vehicles, people often face traffic jams on the roads. After the arrival of the flying car, they will get rid of this problem.
To be unveiled in London
Vinta Aeromobility will unveil its car model at the Helitech exhibition in London starting 5 October. The electric battery-powered car will be equipped with the facilities of a vertical take-off and landing aircraft. The company claims that the flying car is more sustainable as it uses biofuels. The car has digital instrument panels with artificial intelligence.
Worldwide test-
There are trials going on around the world for flying cars. Many countries have shifted from concept model to production model. Preparations are underway for the commercial operation of Urban Air Mobility in the US and European countries. Established players such as Boeing and Airbus have joined hands with Japan for flying taxis.
