A court of Shillong has reserved its verdict on the bail plea of a property dealer from Indore, arrested in the case of Raja Raghuvanshi of Indore, in a Sohra. The officials gave this information on Thursday.
Officials said that the application filed by Property Dealer Shilom James lawyer Devesh Sharma was strongly opposed by the government lawyer Tushar Chanda during the hearing on Wednesday.
Officials said that the court has reserved its decision.
Other items and a pistol were recovered from the property dealer of Indore, including gold jewelery of the deceased’s wife Sonam.
It is also alleged that James was arranged by James in which the flat was hidden on returning to Indore after the murder.
The official said two other accused in the case, flat owner Lokendra Singh Tomar and security guard Balbir Ahirwar alias Ballia have been granted bail after the end of judicial custody.
Both are also accused of tampering with important evidence related to the crime in Sohra in Meghalaya in May.
Raja Raghuvanshi and Sonam were married in May and the couple, a resident of Indore, went to Meghalaya for a honeymoon but went missing after reaching there.
The king’s bloodted body was later found in a deep ditch in Sohra but Sonam was not found for several days, later he was caught from a dhaba in Uttar Pradesh.
Sonam (24) was arrested from Ghazipur while four of his colleagues were arrested from Indore for alleged role in conspiring to kill Raja.
