New Delhi . Congress leader Udit Raj called Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s free electricity announcement as an election jumla. He also reacted to issues such as conversion, Jai Bhim Coaching Scheme of Delhi and change in the course of NCERT.
In a conversation with , Udit Raj termed the announcement of free electricity in Bihar as “electoral jumla” and said that Nitish Kumar had earlier claimed in the assembly that electricity bill waiver is not possible, but when RJD and Congress raised 200 units of free electricity, Nitish Sarkar announced to make 125 units free. Nitish is lying in an alliance with BJP. Just like the promise of giving 2 crore jobs and 15 lakh rupees in accounts was hollow, so it is also.
He gave an example of BJP not fulfilling the promises of giving gas cylinders and Rs 2,500 to women for 500 rupees in Rajasthan.
On the issue of conversion in Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh, Udit Raj said that this is not a simple subject. Dr. BR. Ambedkar had also chosen the path of conversion due to caste discrimination. If a Christian or Muslim wants to become a Hindu, then which caste will it accept?
Referring to the immense wealth of monasteries and religious institutions, he said that it should be implemented in education, health and upliftment of Dalit-backwards. If the property of the monasteries is useful for the society, the conversion can stop.
Udit Raj, on the order of investigating the Jai Bhima coaching scheme of the previous Arvind Kejriwal government in Delhi, said that no concrete benefit of this scheme was not shown. There was a limit of Rs 15 crore, but Rs 122 crore was spent. There is no data of beneficiaries. Coaching institutes complained of not getting money and stopped coaching. Where did this money go? Where are the beneficiaries?
He lashed out at AIMIM politics and said that his religious speeches and dress promoted Hindu-Muslim polarization. Religious polarization begins in advance where AIMIM is active. This is harmful to the secular politics of India coalition.
On the statement of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Udit Raj said that Mamta should first focus on the violence of her party workers who attacked the Congress and the leftist workers, they now joined the BJP. Mamta will improve the BJP first, only then will the BJP be able to stop.
The Congress leader said on the syllabus of NCERT that history should be taught not communal, but in totality. There is talk of the cruelty of the Mughals, but during the Peshwas, Dalits had to walk around the neck and tie a broom in the waist. Shudra women were forced to walk in the open. Where is the participation of Dalit-backwards in UGP, NITI Aayog, universities? Mental and physical cruelty continues even today. It should also be taught.
