On the evening of 1 August, the Islamabad Express train crashed in Sheikhupura district of Punjab province of Pakistan. The accident took place in Kala Shah Kaku region. Five coaches of the train derailed.
What is the whole matter
The Islamabad Express train was passing by a chemical plant, when the accident happened. At 7:32 pm, the control room received an emergency call. Punjab Rescue 1122 started immediate relief and rescue operations.
Rescue operation
6 emergency vehicles and 25 relief workers immediately reached the spot. Most passengers suffered scratches, minor injuries and skin injuries. A total of at least 29 passengers have been injured.
Punjab Rescue spokesman Farooq Ahmed said, “Most of the injured have suffered minor injuries such as scratches and scratches on the skin, all were given first aid.”
