New Delhi, June 9 (IANS). On the death anniversary of Birsa Munda, a great symbol of tribal culture, self-respect and freedom struggle, Chief Ministers, Union Ministers and other leaders of BJP ruled states paid tribute to him. Many leaders remembered his indomitable courage, struggle against British rule and contribution in protecting tribal identity through a post on social media platforms.
Remembering Birsa Munda, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini wrote in his ‘X’ post, “Humble tribute to Lord Birsa Munda, a symbol of tribal culture, self-respect and public awareness, on his death anniversary. He infused a new consciousness in the society with his indomitable courage, fighting personality and patriotism. His lifelong struggle against injustice and exploitation is a source of inspiration for the coming generations.”
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta wrote, “Humble tribute to Dharti Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda on his death anniversary. The historic rebellion led by him against the British rule for the protection of tribal identity and water, forests and land is an immortal chapter of the Indian freedom struggle. His indomitable courage, struggle and supreme sacrifice will always be remembered by the grateful nation.”
UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote, “Hundreds of thousands of salutes on the death anniversary of ‘Dharti Aba’ Lord Birsa Munda, who gave new energy to tribal self-respect against the injustice of the British rule and a new direction to India’s freedom struggle with the immortal slogan of ‘Ulgulan’. UP government minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi wrote, “On the martyrdom day of the great freedom fighter and public leader, ‘Dharti Aaba’ Lord Birsa Munda, who dedicated his life for the upliftment of the tribal society, we pay our tribute to him. Your life of struggle, indomitable courage and self-respect is an immortal story which will always inspire the nation.”
Bihar BJP President Sanjay Saraogi wrote, “Humble tribute to the symbol of courage and bravery, freedom fighter, land lord Birsa Munda on his death anniversary. He opened a front against the British rule to protect his culture and traditions. His contribution in protecting the motherland is unforgettable.”
Bihar Assembly Speaker Prem Kumar wrote, “On the death anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda ji, a great freedom fighter, pride of tribal society and popular leader, we pay our respects and humble tributes to him.
