Jyotishacharya SS Nagpal said that this will be the 2587th birth anniversary of Lord Buddha. It is believed that on Buddha Purnima, Lord Gautama Buddha was born, attainment of knowledge and his perpetration. This festival of Gawan Buddha is celebrated with great pomp not only in India, but also in various countries like Thailand, China, Cambodia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Japan, Tibet.

Buddhism emerged from Buddha teachings and called Buddhists based on the teachings of Lord Buddha. With this, it spread in Eastern and West Asia. Buddhists are worshiped in countries like China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Thailand, Japan. Buddha Purnima is also known as Buddha Jayanti, Peepal Purnima and Vaishakh Purnima. On this day, special worship is also organized in Buddhist temples. On this day, meditation, preaching and charity are also done as well as religious works are also done in different places on this day.

Buddha Purnima Puja Muhurta

The full moon date was held from 6.55 minutes on Sunday evening, which will be on Monday evening from 7.2 to 22 minutes on Monday evening, the worship of Vaishakhi Purnima will be celebrated from 11.51 minutes to 12 to 45 minutes on Monday afternoon. Vaishakh Purnima is the practice of offering water to the moon at night, for this, during the time of moonrise, offer water, milk and anxiety in a lotus towards the moon in the sky. This time Ravi Yoga has been made on Vaishakh Purnim, while the influence of Budhaditya and Varian Yoga is also becoming throughout the day. On this day, schools and banks remain closed in some states. But the Shar Bazaar remains open.

2569th birth anniversary of Lord Buddha celebrated in Bodh Gaya

The 2569th Buddha Jayanti of Lord Buddha was celebrated on Monday at the international tourist place Bodh Gaya, where thousands of Buddhist devotees from India and abroad attended. On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Lord Buddha, a grand procession was taken out from near the 80 feet huge Buddha statue in Bodh Gaya, which included thousands of Buddhist devotees from many countries of the world. This procession reached the World Heritage Mahabodhi Temple via various roads, after which the devotees meditated under the holy Bodhivriksha in the courtyard of the Mahabodhi temple.

During this time, Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan arrived to attend the program, where the people of Bodh Gaya Temple Management Committee welcomed him with flowers. During this time, he also visited Lord Buddha in the sanctum sanctorum of Mahabodhi temple and attended the program organized in the shade of Bodhivriksha. He inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.

Addressing the attendees, the Governor said that India is a country of all religions. I myself come from Muslim society but I attend the program of temple, church and even every religion. Religion does not matter. Lord Buddha attained knowledge and told the whole world the path of the medium path. Every person should follow the path described by Lord Buddha, only then peace can come in the world. On this occasion, District Magistrate Dr. Naksha Rajan SM, Bodh Gaya Temple Management Committee Secretary Mahashweta Maharathi, Member Arvind Kumar Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Anand Kumar were present.
