Aurangabad. The process of offering arghya to Lord Bhaskar at the legendary Suryakund during the four -day Chaiti Chhath fair at Dev in Aurangabad district in Bihar has started from Thursday afternoon. There is a long queue of female -male devotees in the Tretayugin Sun Temple of the Dev, who was decorated in a very attractive manner since this morning, and people are offering prayers to Lord Bhaskar in turn.
The entire area of Dev is buzzing with the devotional and Karnapriya songs of the sixth Maiya. Lakhs of fasting and devotees who have arrived in Dev in Dev are offering arghya to Lord Bhaskar. For the convenience of devotees by Aurangabad district administration, better arrangements have been made for electricity, water health safety transport housing etc. A large number of police personnel have been deployed in the entire fair area and temple premises from the security point of view.
District Magistrate Srikanth Shastri and Superintendent of Police Ambarish Rahul are camping in the fair area. About seven lakh devotees are expected to reach the gods from various states of the country and from every corner of Bihar and Jharkhand. It is public belief that by observing Chhath fast in Dev, there is an exciting feeling of the presence of Lord Suryadev on this occasion and offering arghya in the mythological Suryakund here fulfills the desired wishes.
