Nehru became angry after hearing this. He wanted the state government to immediately order Hindus out of the area and remove Ramlala. Chief Minister Govind Vallabh Pant ordered the district administration to immediately take out Hindus and remove the statue of Ramlala. But Nair refused to implement the order. On the other hand, he issued another order stating that Ramlala should be worshiped daily. It was also said in the order that the government should bear the expenses of worship and the salaries of the priest who pays obeisance.
