Traveling on the National Highway has become expensive from April 1. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has decided to increase the toll tax across the country from April 1. In many places, the toll tax has been increased by about 15 percent. According to the report, the toll tax has now increased from Rs 10 to Rs 65, depending on the vehicle. While the toll for commercial vehicles has increased by Rs 65, light vehicles will have to pay Rs 10 more on one side.
NHAI Project Director NN Giri said that a notification has been issued regarding the increase in toll tax for the financial year 2022-23. “On the highways connecting Delhi, the toll price has been increased for four-wheelers. Oversize vehicles will have to pay ₹65 from April 1.

After this decision, passing through Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway (KMP) and Kherki Daula toll plaza in Haryana has become expensive. On the Kherki Daula toll plaza on the Delhi-Jaipur highway, where the toll tax has increased by 14 percent, it is less than 10 percent on the KMP Expressway. The newly constructed toll plaza near Gamdoj on Sohna Road will also start functioning from today with the new rates.
According to the Kherki Daula toll plaza management, from April 1, large commercial vehicles (trucks, buses and similar vehicles) were charged Rs 205 earlier, which has now increased to Rs 235 per trip. The toll fee for cars and jeeps has been increased from ₹70 to ₹80 by ₹10. Similarly for minibus vehicles, ₹115 will be charged instead of ₹100.

Toll will have to be paid on Delhi-Meerut Expressway
Apart from this, free travel on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway has ended, along with an increase of 10 per cent in the already fixed rates. According to the report, from Sarai Kale Khan to Kashi toll plaza, now car-jeep drivers will have to pay Rs 155 instead of Rs 140. Car drivers going from Indirapuram to Meerut will have to pay Rs 105 at Kashi toll plaza.
