Soon another new player is going to enter the electric two-wheeler segment in the Indian market. Electric scooter rental startup company Bounce has announced that it will launch its first electric scooter Infinity early next month. According to the information, this scooter will be offered for sale in the market on December 2.
According to media reports, the company can start the delivery of the Bounce Infinity electric scooter from the beginning of 2022. Although, it will be clearly known only at the time of its launch. This Bengaluru-based company was till now in the two-wheeler rental business, but now the company is going to launch its first electric scooter. Recently, the company acquired 22 motors, including a manufacturing unit in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan.
Book a scooter for just Rs 499:
The bookings for the Bounce Infinity electric scooter will also start from the day of its launch, while deliveries are slated to start next year. The booking amount for the scooter has been fixed at Rs 499. The company is also offering this scooter without a battery, that is, customers can buy it without a battery and can drive using the battery according to them.
The company claims that its electric scooter is Made in India. As we mentioned, this scooter is also available with ‘Battery as a Service’ option, it allows customers to buy scooter without battery. This option makes the scooter at least 40% more economical than buying a vehicle equipped with a battery.
Apart from this, customers can also buy scooters with battery pack like regular electric vehicles. It will include a smart, removable Li-ion battery, which customers can remove and charge as per their convenience and requirement. At present, the company has not shared any information about the mechanism, technology and driving range etc. of this scooter. After coming in the market, this scooter can mainly compete with Ola electric scooter.
