In such a situation, now the Indian Army has also created an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based device that will help in preventing vehicle accidents. The Indian Army has got the patent certificate for developing this device. Let us tell you that this AI-based device will alert the driver by sounding an alarm before road accidents happen. Especially when the driver of the vehicle is feeling sleepy. The Indian Army says that this device will help in the prevention of accidents.
This device has been developed by Colonel Kuldeep Yadav, an officer of the Indian Army. To patent this device, he had applied in the year 2021 itself, which has now been approved by the government. The Indian Army said that it has received a patent for the Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based Accident Prevention System. It was said by tweeting on behalf of the army that this accident prevention device has been developed in its own country by the research and development (R&D) component of the army. According to the patent certificate, it was applied on 2 February 2021.
This device is basically designed for the prevention of vehicle accidents. Keeping an eye on the activities of the driver, this device will keep alerting him from time to time by ringing a buzzer when he falls asleep. This device can be easily installed in any vehicle. This sensor-enabled device mounted on the vehicle’s dashboard monitors the driver’s eyes and alerts him when he blinks.
Indian Army officer said in his interview to the media- ‘The testing of this device has been done in different conditions on mountains, deserts and highways and this device has been completely successful in each of its tests. After testing, this device is now being fitted in all army vehicles.
