Hyundai Motor India has joined hands with Tata Power to set up a ‘Fast Charging Electric Vehicle (EV)’ infrastructure at some of its dealerships in the country. The company gave this information on Tuesday. Under this partnership, 60kw DC charging stations will be installed at 34 EV dealerships of the company in 29 cities. Through the Hyundai and Tata Power EZ Charge mobile app, they will cater to the needs of all types of electric vehicles.
Hyundai will provide the facility through its dealership, location and necessary administrative approvals, while Tata Power will operate and maintain the charging stations.
Unsu Kim, Managing Director and CEO, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), said in the statement, “The company is delighted with its partnership with Tata Power to facilitate, strengthen and drive sustainable transportation in India’s strong EV ecosystem. ”
The company said such partnerships are vital to accelerate the adoption of EVs by customers to achieve the goal of reducing pollution.
