Lucknow News: Strict steps are being taken at the administrative level to maintain the beauty and environmental balance of Lucknow. On Saturday, Mandalayukta Dr. Roshan Jacob inspected the Wetland Lake at CG City and directed to increase the cleaning, STP operation and lighting. He instructed the officers to make 19 MLD STPs active within the stipulated time, make proper arrangements for garbage disposal and pay special attention to the beautification of the lake. Also asked to start the work of the Interpretation Center soon, so that visitors can understand the biodiversity, birds and environmental importance here better. Officials of Lucknow Development Authority were also present in this inspection.

The current status of Wetland lake took stock, 19 MLD STP will be operational in 15 days

During the inspection, the Mandalayukta first inquired about the current status of Wetland lake and future development plan on the map. Officials said the construction of the 1300 meter long drain will start soon and its expenses will be borne by the township. During the inspection, Dr. Roshan Jacob directed the 19 MLD STP under construction to be active within the stipulated time. Officials assured that the civil work has been completed and the STP will be commissioned in the next 15 days.

Special emphasis on beautification and cleanliness, work of lighting and interpretation center intensifies

The commissioner instructed that high quality Venus should be kept in the lake premises so that there is no problem of throwing garbage. Also, with the help of architects, cleaning and beautification should be done according to the need of the lake. After inspection, he instructed to increase the number of lighting and start the work of the Interpretation Center without delay. This will better understand the history of birds, biodiversity and the importance of lake.
