Maruti Suzuki is rapidly updating its vehicle portfolio in the domestic market. On one hand the company is testing new CNG vehicles and on the other hand, preparations are being made to launch the new next generation model of Maruti Celerio. Recently, the official booking of this car has been started, now some details have been leaked even before the launch of this car.
According to media reports, the new Maruti Celerio will be introduced on November 10 in a total of 4 variants. The car will be available in 6 colors – Arctic White, Silky Silver, Solid Fire Red, Speedy Blue, Caffeine Brown and Glistening Grey. LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+ will be available as variants.
The new Celerio has been built by the company on the Heartect platform, it is believed that the length of this car can be slightly longer than the current model. The company is making a lot of changes in both the exterior and interior of this car. Features such as new headlamps and taillamps, reworked bumpers, and black multi-spoke alloy wheels for the higher-spec variants will be given. The cabin will get features like touchscreen infotainment system, new steering wheel, instrument cluster, repositioned center aircon vents, power window controls and push start/stop buttons.
As far as the engine is concerned, the company is using the 1.2-litre capacity K12N petrol engine in this car which is equipped with DualJet, Dual VVT technology. The company claims that this will be the country’s highest mileage petrol car. Although the figures have not been confirmed yet, it is believed that this car can give mileage of up to 26 kmpl.
