Honda unveiled the new City Hybrid (Honda City eHEV) on April 14. Now the company is going to launch it soon next month. According to sources, it can be launched on May 4. Customers can pre-book this vehicle at Honda dealerships or online. The new City will be one of the highest mileage vehicles in the hottest segment in India.
It will be made available in two variants V and ZX, which are expected to be priced between Rs 22 lakh and Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). In the mid-size sedan segment, the City will take on the Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Vertus.
Booking for Rs 21000
This advanced hybrid electric city e:HEV will be produced at the factory located in Tapukara, Rajasthan, India. The company today commenced pre-bookings for the New City e:HEV at all Honda dealerships across the country with a booking amount of ₹21,000.

The sedan is powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated Atkinson petrol engine mated to two electric motors. While the petrol motor makes 98bhp power with 127Nm, the electric motor makes 109bhp power with 253Nm. The City Hybrid houses a 0.734kWh lithium-ion battery that weighs 14.5kgs. City Hybrid will give excellent mileage of 26.5.

Honda City E: HEV ZX trim comes with Honda Sensing Technology which includes ADAS (Advanced Driving Assistant System). It includes cruise control, lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation system, collision mitigation braking system and blind spot detection system. It is the first vehicle in its class to have ADAS Autonomous Technology. The automaker has also equipped it with Honda Connect.
