The country’s largest electric scooter company Hero Electric said that the company has not dispatched a single electric scooter in April 2022. According to the company, due to this, the waiting period of their electric scooters has reached 60 days.
Not only this, there are also no models left for display at some Hero Electric dealerships. Let us tell you that Hero Electric is currently the largest selling company in the Indian electric two wheeler segment, but is currently struggling with supply chain problems between Russia and Ukraine.

Speaking on the semiconductor chip shortage, Sohinder Gill, CEO, Hero Electric, said, “Our sales were almost doubling month on month and we somehow managed to sourcing from different regions, but the war created a huge supply chain. In the meantime, we are using this time to increase our production volume and our plant capacity.

What company bid on fire incidents
Gill also talked about the improvement in the quality of electric vehicles in view of the recent fire incidents. “The recent incidents of fire are a signal to the industry and we believe that even the best companies should inspect themselves and continuously improve their designs and quality,” he added.
