Ola is the second largest electric scooter brand in India after Hero Electric. According to FADA, Ola sold more than 9 thousand electric scooters in March 2022 alone. Last month, Ola Electric sold 9,127 units of scooters, while Hero Electric sold 13,023 units in the same month.
Recently, while talking to the media, the company had told that at present they are making about 800 electric scooters every day. Till now the total production has already crossed the 50 thousand mark. The company’s production will increase to 2,000 scooters per day in a few months.
Ola entered the electric two-wheeler segment in India after acquiring Netherlands-based electric scooter company Etergo BV. The company’s AppScooter, on which the Ola S1 pro is based, first came out in 2018 and won several awards at various events including CES 2019 and Automotive Brand Contest, Germany.
Ola S1 Pro price in Delhi starts from Rs 1.10 Lakh (ex-showroom). It has a lithium-ion battery of 3.9 kWh capacity. Its electric motor generates peak power of 8.5 kW. The battery of Ola scooter can be fully charged in about 6 hours with a portable charger of 750W capacity. Apart from this, it gets charged up to 75 percent in just 18 minutes with the fast charger.
