Tata Motors’ largest-ever electric car will be launched on May 11. Yes, Tata has announced the date of the long range model of its most popular Nexon EV. Nexon is also the best selling electric car in the country. Earlier this electric car was to be launched on April 20, but then its launch was postponed. The range of this new model of Nexon will be up to 400km on a single charge. At present, no information has come about its price. The curtain from the price will rise on the day of launch. Expected to get 40kWh battery pack
The big change in the new Nexon EV is that it will get a 40kWh battery pack. The current model gets a 30.2kWh battery pack. That is, now customers will get 30% bigger battery. The updated model of Nexon will offer a range of more than 400km on a single charge. The current Nexon EV offers a range of 312km on a single charge. However, the actual range of the current model is much less than the range announced by the company. Due to the increase in the battery pack, a difference can also be seen in its design. This means that the boot space inside it may be slightly less as compared to the current model.

Expected to get 6.6kW AC charger
The updated Nexon EV is expected to get a 6.6kW AC charger option. With this powerful charger, the battery will be fully charged in about 5 hours. This is likely to be different from the current EV’s 3.3kW AC charger, which takes around 10 hours to charge the battery. The Tata Nexon EV will be offered with a selectable regeneration mode and will help the driver choose the intensity of regenerative braking. The price of the new model can be Rs 3-4 lakh more than the current model.

Safety features will also be taken care of
The updated ICE Nexon has been seen in the new Nexon EV. The long-range model is likely to get an air purifier and ventilated front seats. It is also expected to get cruise control, park mode and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) like the current car. With more range, the new Tata Nexon EV can compete with the Hyundai Kona and MG ZS EV in the Indian market.
