New Delhi. Japan’s major automaker Honda is going to introduce the concept of a new mid-size SUV car in Indonesia on November 11. The concept will be launched at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). Honda Indonesia gave information about this on its official Twitter account.
The concept model could be named Honda N5X and the production-ready model could be named Honda ZR-V, which was registered by the company a while back.
Design and Features
Honda’s new mid-size SUV car will be based on the mechanical concept design of the recently launched 7-seater BR-V in Indonesia. It will get features like all-LED headlamps, flared wheel arches, alloy wheels, roof rails, LED taillamps, floating roofline, strong belt-line, roof-integrated spoiler, wrap-around tail-lights.
Engine and gearbox
This mid-size SUV is likely to be offered with a 1.5-litre petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox. With this, the car will get power of 121 bhp and torque of 145 Nm.
Will Honda’s new mid-size SUV be available in India?
The company had informed some time back that a new SUV is being made for India, which can give tough competition to Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushk and Volkswagen Tiguan. However, information about whether the new mid-size SUV, which will be presented in Indonesia on November 11, will come to India or not, has not been given yet.
