The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki has today launched the next generation model of its famous hatchback car Maruti Celerio in the domestic market. Equipped with a very attractive look and new technology, the starting price of this car has been fixed at Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company has made many major changes in this car, which make it better than the previous model. The company claims that this is the highest mileage car in the country.
The new 2021 Maruti Celerio has been built on the company’s fifth-generation Heartect platform. It gets a host of great safety features including dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, segment-first hill-hold assist, etc. The car has been introduced with a total of 6 colours, including two new colors – Fire Red and Speedy Blue. In other colors you get Silky Silver, Glistering Grey, Arctic White and Caffeine Brown.
The exterior of the Celerio gets a new grille section with a horizontal chrome slate and Suzuki badge (LOGO) in the middle. The new bonnet structure along with honeycomb insert, bulbous headlamp cluster gives a better look to the front of this car. Due to the large size, better space is also available in the cabin inside the car.
Engine Capacity:
Other highlights include a slightly slanted roofline at the rear with larger windows, new tail lamps, spoiler on the edge of the bootlid, redesigned bumper, wing mirrors, turn signals and redesigned wheels. The company is using a 1.2-litre capacity K12N petrol engine in this car which is equipped with DualJet, Dual VVT technology. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual and automatic gearbox and generates 65hp power and 89Nm torque.
Excellent Mileage:
Maruti Suzuki has claimed that this is the best mileage car in the country. Equipped with the new K-Series petrol engine and improved technology, this car gives a mileage of about 26.68 kmpl. Apart from this, the car gets 313 liters of boot space, which is a complete 40% more than the previous model.
