New Delhi. Japan’s largest carmaker Toyota has recently introduced the first glimpse of its new sedan car Belta. Introduced in the middle-eastern markets, the Toyota Belta is the badge-engineered version of the Ciaz, the famous sedan from India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki.
rebadge deal
The Toyota Belta is manufactured under the rebadge deal signed between Toyota and Suzuki in 2018. The deal was done for the purpose of rebadge and sale for the supply of hybrid technology and other vehicles. Under the same deal, Toyota is already selling Glanza based on Baleno and Urban Cruiser based on Vitara Brezza in the Indian market.

Also, it will have the same 1.5 liter naturally aspirated engine, which will generate 103bhp power and 138Nm torque. In the international market, the Belta will be available with a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission and in the Indian market it will be available with a 5-speed manual transmission.
When will launch?
The launch of Toyota Belta can happen in the coming weeks in the international market and in the Indian market.
