Customers are very fond of Maruti Suzuki’s new Baleno. The company recently revealed that this vehicle has received more than 50,000 bookings. Maruti achieved this figure within six weeks of the launch of the Baleno facelift. Now in the latest report, it has been found that which variant of its customers are liking the most. According to a report by Autocar India, the second generation Maruti Baleno has received 60% bookings for the Zeta and Alpha variants, which get six airbags.
Let us tell you that the new Baleno is the only premium hatchback in the country to compete with the Hyundai i20 and Toyota Glanza, which comes with 6 airbags. The new Baleno comes in four variants – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. While the Sigma and Delta get dual front airbags, the Zeta and Alpha get six airbags. Apart from 6 airbags, many segment-first features have been given in the top variant of the car. There is a waiting period of 4 months on most of the variants of the car.

Features like 360 degree camera
Many segment-first features have been given in the new Baleno like head up display and 360 degree camera. It also gets features like 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, auto climate control, push-button start/stop and keyless entry. Safety features include 6 airbags, ESP, hill hold assist, ISOFIX mount, ABS with EBD and speed alert system.

engine and power
The new Baleno gets the sole 90hp, 1.2-litre, four-cylinder DualJet K12N petrol engine. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT automatic gearbox. As far as the booking profile is concerned, Maruti has registered 20 per cent bookings for the AMT-equipped variants of the car.
