Popular car maker Toyota Kirloskar Motor has given a big blow to its customers. The company said that it is going to increase the price of the vehicles to reduce the effect of rising cost. The company will increase the prices of the entire model range by up to 4 percent. The new prices are to be effective from 1 April 2022. The company sells a total of 7 models in India, which include Toyota Glanza, Urban Cruiser, Innova Crysta, Hilux, Fortuner, Camry and Vellfire.
Toyota, which sells several popular models, said the price hike is being driven by rising input costs, including raw materials. On March 25, BMW India announced an increase in the price of its vehicles by up to 3.5 percent. Apart from this, other luxury carmakers like Audi and Mercedes-Benz are also planning to increase the prices from April 1.
