A few days ago, the dearness allowance of the employees was increased by 3 percent by the Central Government. After which their DA has become 34 percent. At the same time, it has been announced by the government to increase the dearness allowance of the central employees getting their salary in the pre-revised pay scale or grade pay of the 5th and 6th Central Pay Commission.
The DA of Central Government employees drawing their salary in the pre-revised pay scale or grade pay of 5th CPC has been increased from 368 per cent to 381 per cent. Whereas for central government employees drawing pay in the pre-revised Sixth Pay Commission pay scale or grade pay, the Center has increased their DA from 196 per cent to 203 per cent. This increased dearness allowance will be considered effective from January 1, 2022.
Finance Ministry issued statement
In a statement issued by the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, it was said that the dearness allowance of these employees was not increased after 1 November 2021. But under the 5th and 6th pay commission, their dearness allowance is being increased. Under the 6th pay scale, the basic pay will be calculated at the rate of 196% and after increase by 203 percent.
DA at the rate of 381 to these employees
Similarly, for the Central Government employees and employees working in Central Autonomous Bodies, it has been said for the Ministry of Finance that dearness allowance will be given at the rate of 381% in the salary of the employees of this department. Earlier, the dearness allowance of these employees was increased on November 1, 2021. Now the new hike will be considered effective from January 1, 2022.
DA being given at the rate of 34
In July 2021, the dearness allowance of central employees was increased from 28 percent to 31 percent. After this, recently the dearness allowance has been increased to 3 percent and dearness allowance to 34 percent. This DA of central employees will be considered effective from January 1. After this increase, the employees are going to get a profit of Rs 6540 annually.
