Ajay Srinivasan, managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) of non-banking financial company (NBFC) Aditya Birla Capital Limited has resigned from his post. Giving this information on Monday, the company said that the decision to step down from the post of Srinivasan has nothing to do with the investigation of alleged irregularities and corruption.

According to reports, a ‘whistleblower’ has leveled serious allegations of corruption and mismanagement against the company and the top management. An Aditya Birla Capital spokesperson refuted the allegations, saying that Srinivasan has expressed his desire to take on a new role within the group after serving as CEO for more than 14 years. A new role is being sought at the group level with his mentorship.
