SBI Customers Alert: If you are also a customer of the country’s largest bank State Bank of India (SBI), then there is very important information for you. The bank has issued digital security guidelines to protect its customers from digital fraud. SBI has suggested measures to protect its customers from falling in the trap of fraud.
SBI on Monday said that customers should never share their ‘password’ with anyone. Also, to avoid the storage of personal information, options like ‘Auto Save’ and ‘Remember’ should be turned off in your mobile or devices.
What did SBI say?
SBI has issued a comprehensive digital security guideline for customers to keep their digital transactions safe, saying that customers should take care of all aspects of their digital banking, digital transactions, electronic payments and social media security. The Bank has advised customers to use unique and difficult passwords for login related security along with frequent password changes.

“Never share or write down your user ID, password or PIN,” the bank said. Always remember that the bank never asks for your User ID / Password / Card Number / PIN / Password / CVV / OTP.

Tips to avoid UPI transactions
Further, with regard to UPI transaction security, the Bank has advised customers to keep their mobile PIN and UPI PIN in a separate and non-predictable manner.
SBI said that if any transaction has taken place without the knowledge of the customer, then the users should immediately stop the UPI related services in their bank account.
