According to the list released by the Reserve Bank of India, there will be a 12-day bank holiday in May.
This month, there will be a bank holiday on occasions like Labor Day, Akshaya Tritiya, Eid, Budh Purnima, Parashuram Jayanti and Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti. Saturday and Sunday holidays are also included in these holidays.
These holidays will not be the same in all states. Different states have different festivals and anniversaries holidays. Therefore, it will be beneficial for you to know about the holidays of your respective states before going to the bank.

May 2 (Monday)- Ramzan Eid/Eid ul Fitr (Banks closed in Kerala).
May 3 (Tuesday) – Lord Shri Parshuram Jayanti / Ramzan Eid (Eid-ul-Fitr) / Basava Jayanti / Akshaya Tritiya (banks closed in other states of the country except Kerala).
May 8 – Sunday.
9 May (Monday)- Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti (Banks closed in West Bengal and Tripura).
May 14 (Saturday) – Second Saturday of the month.
15 May – Sunday.
16 May (Monday) – Budh Purnima, Sikkim Day (Banks closed in all states of the country.)
May 22 – Sunday
24 May (Tuesday) – Qazi Nazrul Islam Jayanti (Banks closed in Sikkim)

According to the information given by the Reserve Bank, these holidays are not applicable equally in all the states. During these holidays, customers can settle their financial transactions through online banking, phone banking and UPI.
