Holidays in banks are decided by the Reserve Bank of India i.e. RBI. According to the RBI list, there will be a holiday in banks on Tuesday, April 9 in Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Manipur and Jammu and Kashmir. The reasons for this are First Navratri, Gudi Padwa, Telugu New Year, Ugadi, Cheiraoba. Due to these different festivals and festivals, RBI has announced holidays in banks in the above mentioned 8 states. Apart from this, there will be a bank holiday in Kerala on 10th April i.e. Wednesday due to Eid. On Thursday i.e. 11th April, banks are going to remain closed in the entire country except Chandigarh, Kerala, Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh.
Apart from this, due to April 13 being the second Saturday, banks will remain closed across the country. April 14 is a Sunday and due to this there will be a holiday in banks across the country. In this way, banks are going to remain closed 4 days a week in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Manipur and Jammu and Kashmir. There will be no work in the branches during bank holidays. You can do transactions through internet banking, mobile banking and digital banking. If you need cash, then keeping in mind the bank holidays, you can go to the branch and withdraw cash on Monday only.
