IndiGo has announced the appointment of Peter Albers as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He will replace the current CEO Ronojoy Dutta, who will retire on September 30. The company said the appointment of Albers is yet to get regulatory approval. His appointment will be effective on or before October 1, 2022.
Affordable services provider IndiGo said 71-year-old Dutta has decided to retire after guiding the airline during the COVID-19 crisis. He joined the operations of the company in January 2019.
Rahul Bhatia, Managing Director and Co-Promoter, IndiGo said, “We are extremely excited to announce the appointment of Peter Albers as CEO. We are confident that under his leadership, the company will play an important role in this growth opportunity.”

Talking about the stock of Indigo, it closed at Rs 1694.50 on Wednesday. There is a slight increase from the day before.
