Union Food Processing Industry Minister Chirag Paswan said on Monday that the resolution of ‘developed Bihar’ is not different from ‘developed India’, but is an integral part of it. He said that the fertile land of the state and the sense of entrepreneurship here can play an important role in establishing India as a global ‘food basket’ (food basket). He said this while inaugurating the two-day ‘International Crame-Vetrata Conference’ (IBSM). Paswan said that this conference is not just a business event, but a decisive step towards rural prosperity. He insisted that our thinking is that the youth of Bihar should not only find jobs, but should become jobbers. The government will ensure that every investor has all the facilities and support necessary in the state.
Loans approved to record 10,270 entrepreneurs
The Ministry of Food Processing Industries is organizing this conference in collaboration with Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), Council of Trade Promotion of India (TPCI) and Government of Bihar. The main objective of the event is to promote trade, strengthen exports, strengthen exports and expose Bihar’s agricultural-food capacity nationally and internationally at the national and international level.
Union Minister Chirag Paswan informed that in FY 2024-25, a record of Rs 624.42 crore has been sanctioned for micro-food processing units in Bihar under a plan to organize the Prime Minister Micro Food Processing Enterprises in FY 2024-25. This number is the highest compared to any state in the country, which shows the rapid growing possibilities of Bihar in this region.
People from more than 70 countries took part
On this occasion, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha highlighted the role of food processing industry in increasing the income of farmers. He also gave information about the offer of Bihar Agricultural App, which is a dedicated platform to provide necessary assistance and information to the farmers. On this occasion, Bihar Government Industries Minister Nitish Mishra said that Bihar has the full potential to become an engine of Eastern India. Referring to the Mega Food Park sanctioned by the Government of India in Muzaffarpur, he called upon investors to take advantage of the state’s strong industrial basis. The minister also informed that facilities like land allocation are being provided in just 7 days through single window clearance system in the state. Let us tell you that more than 70 entrepreneurs from 22 countries like Germany Japan Australia have participated in this two -day international event. Apart from this, more than 50 buyers and vendors have joined the country.
