New Delhi. For the past several days, ED has been leaving no stone unturned in taking strict action in cases of financial irregularities. Now the latest news has come out from edtech company Byju’s Company. Actually, a show cause notice has been issued to the company by ED in the case of Rs 9 thousand crore. This notice has been sent regarding the violation of FEMA rules.
However, the company issued a statement today rejecting the fact of receiving notice from ED. Let us tell you that in the month of April this year, raids were conducted in the company’s offices in Bangalore. ED had also seized many important documents during the raid. According to ED, the company had received a total foreign investment of Rs 28 thousand crore from 2011 to 2023. In which Rs 9,754 crore were sent to different countries.
Note, even before this, investors have raised questions on the functioning of the company many times. However, the company did not issue any statement in this regard. Due to non-preparation of financial statements for the financial year 2020-21, the audit has not started yet. In such a situation, what steps are being taken by the company in the coming days.
