New Delhi. Today the Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi has launched Digital Banking Unit (DBU). PM Modi launched it through video conferencing. Apart from PM Modi, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das were also associated with the launch. During this, the PM also enumerated its benefits. He told that digitization of banks through Digital Banking Unit and its benefits to every corner of the country. The target of DBU has been kept that the banking facilities are available to the general public 24 hours 365 days a year.
App launched in 75 districts
So far, this facility will be provided in 75 districts. The DBU comprises 12 private sector banks, 11 public sector banks and one finance bank. Altogether 24 banks are associated with it. These banks will work day and night to provide better facilities to the public. According to the information, DBU will work as a small outlet. Which will give 24-hour banking facility to its customers. With its help, you can easily do loan applications, fund transfers, account opening, investing, printing passbooks, applying for DB, paying bills, stopping check payments from the comfort of your home.

Let us tell you that this year, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had said in the budget speech that 75 DBUs would be set up on the occasion of completion of 75 years of the country. Fulfilling this announcement today, PM Modi has established DBUs in 75 districts. Through this app, customers will be able to get their grievances redressed immediately.
