New Delhi: Recently, Indian-origin Parag Agarwal, who was elected CEO of Twitter, had informed that the world’s richest person, Tesla Inc. and SpaceX Founder-CEO Elon Musk Microblogging site Will join the board of Twitter. Let us tell you, Musk recently bought a 9.2 percent stake in Twitter out of $3 billion. Since then he has become the largest shareholder of the company. But now Parag Aggarwal informed through a tweet that “Musk will not be joining the board of Twitter.” He said that “Musk’s decision not to join Twitter’s board is of Musk.” He further said that “We have always given priority to the suggestions of our shareholders and will continue to give them in future also. Whether Alan is on our board or not, he is our largest shareholder. We will always wholeheartedly welcome their suggestions.”

In addition, Agarwal sent a note to employees in which he said that “We discussed several times about Musk joining Twitter’s board. I spoke to both the board and Musk about this. We had offered him a seat on the board and he was also going to join it from April 9, but in the morning of the same day he told that he has changed his decision and now he will not join the board of Twitter. There may be some upheaval going forward, but there has been no change in our aims, objectives and priorities.” He further added, “It is only in our hands to take decisions and implement them, not in anyone else’s hands and now we have to focus on our work. If experts are to be believed, Allen wants to remain a Twitter investor for a long time.
