‘Expo 2025’ proof of India’s growing international presence in Japan: Union Minister Piyush Goyal

New Delhi, 3 May (IANS). Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said that the ‘Expo 2025’ lasting six months in Japan is showing leading initiatives like ‘Make in India’ and ‘Digital India’ as well as achievements of Energy, IT, Infrastructure, Health and Tourism Sector.

In a post on social media platform ‘X’, the Union Minister said that ‘India Pavilion-India’ at the expo in Osaka reflects the cultural prosperity and business successes of the country. “

Union Minister Goyal said, “This place is a great performance of the big and important steps taken by the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the last decade,” said Union Minister Goyal.

One of the main attractions of the pavilion was to land on Chandrayaan-3 to land on the southern pole of the Moon and India’s progress in Space Technology.

The Union Minister said, “I am confident that this expo will promote trade and tourism in India and strengthen our role as a trusted partner of the world.”

Meanwhile, the Union Commerce Minister said that he met Alpha Wave Global co-founder and partner Navroz D. Udwadia during his visit to London this week.

He posted on the social media platform ‘X’, “This meeting highlighted how India’s rapid growing middle class, manufacturing capacity and growing digital economy have provided a unique opportunity for investment and development.”

Union Minister Goyal also met John Cockrill’s Group CEO François Mitchell in Brussels.

The Union Minister said, “We discussed how the expertise of the group can assist in India’s development story in innovation in diversion technology solution. This was accompanied by intensive cooperation and ways for multi-regional partnerships.”

In addition, Union Minister Goyal and European Trade and Economic Security Commissioner Maros Sheffykovic have re-confirmed their shared resolution to fulfill the Indo-European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA) by the end of 2025.
