New Delhi. Delhi markets will soon get a global platform. The Delhi government will launch the Delhi Bazaar e-portal from December with 10,000 sellers and aims to add more than one lakh sellers in the next six months. Initially five main markets of Delhi will be linked by navigation. This will be the first such portal in the country, where all the markets of Delhi will be on one portal. Every merchant and shopkeeper of Delhi will be able to display their product on the portal, which can be seen by the world and their goods can be sold all over the world. The way there are e-commerce companies, in the same way Delhi Bazaar e-portal will also work. All the markets and all the shops of Delhi will be available on the Delhi Bazaar portal.
The Delhi Bazaar portal will also promote these markets. For example, if someone wants to see Chandni Chowk and he is sitting in another city, then he will go to the website of Delhi Bazar Portal online and will be able to get information about the goods of his choice in Chandni Chowk market. Also, through virtual navigation, you can get detailed information about the market. Also, one can buy goods by paying through e-payment. The Delhi Bazaar portal will have a team, which will go to the markets and do its complete branding. The Delhi government says that due to the zero setup cost, the products available on the Delhi Bazaar portal will also get cheaper from e-commerce companies.
In this regard, DDC vice-chairman Jasmin Shah made a presentation in front of CM Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday. Appreciating the presentation, CM Arvind Kejriwal said that the Delhi government will first help in connecting one lakh vendors with the portal and the market associations will verify them. An agency will be appointed by the Delhi government, which will look after all the work of the Delhi Bazaar portal. At the same time, the Delhi government is also talking to e-commerce companies, so that the products of Delhi Bazaar portal can be displayed there and purchases can be made. Due to the zero cost, the products available on the Delhi Bazaar portal will be cheaper than the e-commerce companies.
It was told in the presentation that Delhi is the first state government of the country, which is going to enable Open Network for Commerce (ONDC). The Delhi government wants the markets of Delhi to be unique and the market platform to be global. Where buyers are different and sellers are different. Any product can be searched by visiting the website of Delhi Bazaar. If someone wants to buy a shoe, then he can go to the Delhi Bazar portal and search for a shoe shop. The name of the dealer will appear on the map, where the detailed information of the shoe and shop will be available. The buyer can enter the online shop and see the quality and price of each of its products and can buy the product of his choice.
Negotiations are also going on with the Delhi government’s e-payment platform, so that even by visiting the e-payment platform, one can buy goods from the Delhi Bazar portal and make online payments. The government plans to display the product of Delhi Bazaar Portal on all the e-payment platforms available. With this, the markets of Delhi will be able to get the market at the global level. There will be branding of Delhi markets. Anyone will be able to buy goods from anywhere and there will be an option to pay online. This will increase the supply chain of the markets as well as the customers.
