New Delhi. Reliance Jio’s True 5G has reached the Chinese border in the Northeast. Jio has connected all the 6 state capitals of Telecom’s North East circle to the True 5G network. Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh, Imphal in Manipur, Shillong in Meghalaya, Aizawl in Mizoram, Kohima and Dimapur in Nagaland and Agartala in Tripura are now connected to Jio True 5G network. Jio Welcome Offer will be given to Jio users in 6 states and 7 cities from January 27. Under the offer, users will get unlimited data at 1 Gbps+ speed without any extra cost.
Apart from the remote areas in the North East circle, this area is also very important from the point of view of the country’s security. Jio has done the biggest rollout of the circle by connecting all the 6 states of the circle with true 5G. The company claims that by December 2023, Jio True 5G service will be provided in all cities and all talukas of the North East circle.
Speaking on the occasion, a Jio spokesperson said, “Jio is proud to launch true 5G services in all six states of the North-East circle from today. This advanced technology will bring a sea change for the people of North East especially in the health sector with its reliable wireless network. Additionally, it will also promote agriculture, education, e-governance, IT, SME, automation, artificial intelligence, gaming and many more sectors. Jio True 5G has reached 191 cities in less than 4 months since its beta launch. We are grateful to the State Governments for their cooperation in digitizing the North-East circle.”
