With soybean degum and CPO and palmolein being costlier, there are fewer buyers of these oils. Instead, consumers are consuming more mustard, groundnut, cottonseed. The arrival of new crops in the mandis has also increased.

Good yield of mustard this time
Sources said that probably due to Holi, the arrival of mustard in the mandis has come down to 6-6.5 lakh bags for the last two-three days from around 15-16 lakh bags a few days back. He said that after the opening of the mandis on Monday i.e. today, the further trend will be known.

Last year, the level of oil yield from mustard was 39-39.5 percent, which has increased to about 42-44 percent this time.
Mustard Dadri oil cheaper by Rs 1,000
Sources said mustard seed prices declined by Rs 200 to Rs 7,500-7,550 per quintal last week from its previous weekend due to slowdown in overseas markets and increased local arrivals. Mustard Dadri oil declined by Rs 1,000 to Rs 15,300 a quintal. Mustard Pakki Ghani and Kachchi Ghani oil also closed with losses of Rs 100 and Rs 75 each at Rs 2,425-2,500 and Rs 2,475-2,575 per tin (15 kg), respectively.

Soybean grain prices fall by Rs 350
Sources said that amid slowdown in overseas markets last week, the prices of soyabean grains and soybean loose fell by Rs 350 each to Rs 7,425-7,475 and Rs 7,125-7,225 per quintal, respectively. Soybean oil prices also declined in the week under review. Soyabean Delhi, Indore and Soyabean Degum prices closed at Rs 16,500, Rs 16,000 and Rs 15,000 per quintal, showing a loss of Rs 650, Rs 810 and Rs 720 respectively.
Price of groundnut grains reduced by Rs 150 to 6,700
Groundnut grain prices declined by Rs 150 to Rs 6,700-6,795 per quintal in the week under review, while groundnut oil Gujarat and groundnut solvent prices declined by Rs 420 and Rs 65, respectively, to Rs 15,600 per quintal and Rs 2,580-2,770 per tin, respectively. But closed.
