Due to the big fall in the foreign markets, the prices of domestic oil-oilseeds including mustard oil broke down in the Delhi oil-oilseeds market on Monday. At the same time, the price of groundnut oil and palm oil increased by Rs 10 per 10 kg in Indore’s edible oil market on Monday as compared to Saturday. Mustard in oilseeds was sold expensive by Rs 100 per quintal. Whereas, in Sanyogitaganj Anaj Mandi, the price of moong decreased by Rs 100 per quintal on Monday as compared to Saturday. Moong dal was sold cheaper by Rs 100, moong mogar by Rs 100 and urad mogar by Rs 100 per quintal.
Sources said that while the Malaysia exchange lost 2.2 per cent, the Chicago exchange lost three per cent. Palmolein and soybean oil prices declined due to fall in overseas markets.
