Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Tuesday that India will need about one lakh drone pilots in the coming years. This is because the central ministries are trying to boost the indigenous demand for drone service across the country. In such a situation, in the coming years, we need about one lakh drone pilots. That is, the youth have tremendous job opportunities.
12th pass can become drone pilot
The Union Minister further said, those who have passed class 12th can take training as a drone pilot. He said that no college degree is required for this. About one lakh drone pilots will be needed in the coming years. The minister further said, “Training for two-three months will be given. A person can take up the job of a drone pilot with a monthly salary of around Rs 30,000.”

Target to make India a global drone hub by 2030

What is the government’s plan?
The Aviation Minister said that we are actively working towards making drone services easily accessible. India will soon see a plethora of industries adopting drone innovation. The Aviation Minister said, “We are taking the drone sector forward on three wheels. The first wheel is the policy. You have seen how fast we are implementing the policy. The second wheel is to generate the initiative,” he said. Scindia said the third wheel is to create indigenous demand and 12 central ministries have tried to generate that demand. “PLI scheme will give a new boost to manufacturing and services in the drone sector,” the minister said.
