Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in a roundtable meeting with CEOs of American tech companies. Many big names including Google CEO Sundar Pichai attended the meeting. This meeting took place at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel on Sunday during the second leg of Modi’s three-day US visit. The meeting was attended by CEOs of 15 leading American firms working on cutting-edge technologies such as AI, quantum computing and semiconductors. This meeting was very successful.
PM Modi wants to change India
Sundar Pichai said that the meeting was very successful and good. The Prime Minister is focused on completely transforming India with the Digital India vision. Pichai said that PM Modi is constantly emphasizing on Make in India, Design in India. We are proud that we manufactured our Pixel phones in India. The Google CEO said that the Prime Minister is really thinking about how AI will prove helpful in transforming India, so that the people of India can get its benefits.
He has challenged us to focus on developing Indian applications that can help in healthcare, education, agriculture. PM is also thinking about India’s infrastructure. He thinks about data centers, power, energy, and investment in India so that India can move forward towards change.
I want to do more for India
Pichai said that we are proud to partner with India. We are investing heavily in AI in India. We are thinking of investing even more in this. We are continuously running many programs in partnership with the central government and state government in India. We are also running programs with the Ministry of Agriculture and Health. We want to do a lot more for India. He said that the PM has always challenged us to do more for India. His vision is clear about the opportunities created with the help of AI.
