Just before we proceed, it is worth mentioning that the entire process is not 100% online. You can book or download the form to apply for Aadhar card using online methods. But, to enroll and complete the process, you will have to personally visit the Aadhaar Enrollment Center to enroll yourself as your biometrics (Photo + Fingerprint + Iris) will be captured.

You can book your slot and fill some basic details online. After booking your slot, you will have to visit the Aadhaar Seva Kendra for the date and time on which you have made the appointment.

- Click on “Generate OTP” and Enter OTP, Click on Verify OTP

- On the next screen, you will be asked to fill the details like name, gender, date of birth, address details and address proof. Enter the details and select the relevant options and click on “Next”
- Select the date and time for your Aadhar card enrollment (this will be for the location you have selected in step 8) and click on “Next”.
- Review your application, check the details and click on “Submit”.
- Once you submit it, your appointment will be confirmed and you will receive an SMS with a confirmation.
On the day of the appointment, make sure you reach the service center a few minutes before and carry the required documents with you. Enrollment is free and you will not be charged any fees. However, if you require a copy of e-Aadhaar, the center will charge Rs 30 for the same, but you can download the printout of the same outside.
After the process is completed at the Aadhaar Seva Kendra, ensure that you have received the acknowledgment slip and EID, which will be used to track and download your Aadhaar. Once you get the acknowledgment, you will get your Aadhar card at your address within 4 weeks.

how to check aadhar card status
Once you are enrolled and submitted all the required documents and you receive an acknowledgment slip from the Aadhar center visited by you, you can check the status of your Aadhar card. To do this, you will need either EID (Enter Enrollment ID) or SRN.
The EID will be at the top of your enrollment/acknowledgment slip. It contains 14 digit enrollment number (eg: 1234/12345/12345) and 14 digit date and time of enrollment (yyyy/mm/dd hh:mm:ss). These 28 digits together make up your EID. Here is how you can check the status of your Aadhar card.
