Share Market Live Update: The stock market opened today with a heavy fall. BSE’s 30-share key sensitive index Sensex opened at 57190 with a fall of 494 points at 9:15 am. On the other hand, Nifty started trading today with a red mark.
In early trade, the Sensex fell at the level of 57,329 with a loss of 354 points. Whereas, 14 stocks of Nifty 50 were on the green mark. Nifty was trading at the level of 17138 with 107 points. Stocks like ONGC, Hindalco, Coal India, Tech Mahindra were up by 2.28 percent in Nifty top gainers.
Sensex fell 304 points on Wednesday on profit-booking in shares of banks, IT companies
Losing early gains, the BSE Sensex closed with a fall of 304 points on Wednesday. Investors preferred profit-booking in bank, financial and select IT stocks after the recent rally amid concerns over inflation and supply constraints, dragging the market down.

The 30-share BSE Sensex opened with strength and at one point reached 58,416.56 points. However, after the recent rally, investors’ profit-booking did not sustain the market’s strength and finally the Sensex closed at 57,684.82 points, down 304.48 points, or 0.53 per cent.
During trading, it had fallen 420.71 points at one time to 57,568.59 points. The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange also closed at 17,245.65, down 69.85 points, or 0.4 percent.
