Two-wheeler company TVS Motor has entered into a strategic partnership with bike-taxi platform Rapido for mutual interest and collaboration in the area of commercial transport. The company gave this information on Wednesday. The two companies will bring together their strengths in the transportation system and seamless technology platform, the company said in a statement.
Under the agreement, the companies will cover both two wheelers and three wheelers. It will also expand into petrol and diesel powered vehicles (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) segments.
Sudarshan Venu, Joint Managing Director, TVS Motor Company said, “Rapido has built a strong user base of ‘Captains’ and ‘Riders’ and is today the leading bike-taxi platform in India. We are confident that with this tie-up we will be able to expand our reach in the mobility and high-public segment by using high quality, connected products from the TVS Electric portfolio and financing from our group.”
