Two wheeler manufacturer Yamaha has introduced its popular scooter Y16ZR World GP in a new avatar, which has been launched on the occasion of 60th anniversary. The company has made this scooter a limited edition, in which only 5 thousand units will be produced.
The company has currently launched this scooter in the Malaysian market, which has been priced at RM 11,688, which makes about Rs 2.10 lakh according to Indian rupees.
According to media reports, the company can launch it soon in India to make a strong hold in the scooter segment. Earlier, the company has launched Yamaha Aerox 155 Maxi Scooter in India.
Talking about the design and look of the scooter, the company has made it with a red and white color theme, with which gold color wheels have been added. The 60th anniversary badge has been installed in this anniversary special scooter, which is accompanied by a premium box set. This box contains a pin and keychain representing the World GP 60th anniversary.
Talking about the engine and power of the scooter, the company has given a 155 cc single cylinder engine in it, which is based on electronic fuel injection and liquid-cooled technology, which has been patented variable valve actuation.

This engine generates a maximum power of 17.7 hp at 9500 rpm and peak torque of 14.4 Nm at 8000 rpm. The engine given in this scooter is used by the company in its motorcycle Yamaha YZF R15 in India. To make the scooter more premium, the company has fitted a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch in its engine.
In this Y16ZR World GP 60th Anniversary Edition, the company has given a fuel tank of 5.4 liters. So that both men and women can ride the scooter comfortably, its weight has been kept at 119 kg. The seat of the scooter has been kept 795 mm high so that people with less height can also ride it easily.
If the company launches this scooter in India, then after the launch, this scooter is sure to compete directly with the premium scooter Aprilia SXR 160 of this segment.
