Many universities of the capital are expanding the campus along with starting new courses. Many universities of the capital including DU, Jamia, NSUT, DTU are preparing for it. The courses offered in these universities will be according to the needs of the market.
The University has been working in this direction ever since the University of Delhi got the status of Institution of Eminence. The university has approved the opening of many schools under this. More than two dozen short and undergraduate courses will be started in these schools. DU is going to build a new building for this.
Four buildings to be constructed in DU
Along with starting new courses, DU has also decided to construct four new buildings. DU had also exhibited the models of these buildings on the occasion of centenary year. A DU official said that apart from the School of Technology, Institute of Eminence, preparations are also being made to construct two hostels. DU’s Institute of Eminence has already made preparations to start several certificate courses.
Approval to open four new departments in Jamia
Four new departments will soon be opened in Jamia Millia Islamia. Apart from this, recruitment will also be done on new faculty posts. Jamia has got approval for this. Jamia Department of Foreign Languages, Department of Hospital Management and Hospital Studies, Department of Environmental Sciences and Department of Design and Innovation will be started. These departments have been approved by the President.
Medical courses approved in JNU
Medical courses have been approved by the meeting of the Academic Council and Executive Council of Jawaharlal Nehru University held last year. A senior JNU professor said that a proposal of Rs 900 crore has been approved for this. Under this, it is proposed to conduct degree programs like PhD, MD, MS, DM, MCh, MBBS from the school. In this school, along with state-of-the-art medicines, information related to ancient healing methods and social sciences has also been approved to be part of the curriculum. For this, a proposal to construct a separate building has also been approved.

Delhi Technological University and Netaji Subhash Technological University have proposed to Delhi Government to open Medical College and Nursing College. It is being told that this process is in the final stage. Under this, it is proposed to open a medical college of 100 seats each.
