On the orders of the Supreme Court, the High Court has given relaxation in the upper age limit to the applicants appearing in the Delhi Judicial Service (DJS) and Delhi Higher Judicial Service (DHJS) Examination 2022.
Along with this, the court has also changed the last date to apply for appearing in both the examinations and the date of examination. According to the order issued by the Registrar General of the High Court, Manoj Jain, only persons born in the general category on or after January 1, 1989, can apply to appear in the Delhi Judicial Service (DJS) Examination 2022.
Those born before this cannot apply for this post. Other categories of applicants will get age relaxation as per law. The last date to apply for the DJS exam has been set as April 3, while the preliminary exam will be held on April 24. Earlier the maximum age limit for general category students for DJS exam was 32 years. The High Court had started the process of appointment of 123 judicial officers through the DJS exam through an advertisement issued on February 23. In this, 55 posts are currently vacant, while 68 posts are likely to be vacant.
