Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that studies in Gorakhpur’s Sainik School will start from the next session i.e. 2023. On Saturday, after inspecting the school building being built in the fertilizer complex, he saw the model and instructed to complete the work on time.
The Chief Minister reached Gorakhpur on Saturday at 3.30 pm on a two-day visit. After inspecting the Sainik School in the old Fertilizer Factory premises, he said that this school would become the pride of the entire eastern Uttar Pradesh including Gorakhpur. With admission in this school, students will get the opportunity to serve the country while studying the lessons of nationality, for this, we should try our best to start studying here from the next academic session. To achieve this goal, the construction work must be completed by March 2023. Yogi directed to complete the academic building, boys and girls hostel of Sainik School at the earliest. There should be no negligence in this. He said that the campus should be imbued with the spirit of Indianness. During the inspection of the Chief Minister, Commissioner Ravi Kumar NG, District Magistrate Vijay Kiran Anand, DFO Vikas Yadav and officials of the working organization Public Works Department were present.
Sainik School being built in 50 acres
The foundation stone of Sainik School was laid by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on 23 July 2021. It is being constructed on 50 acres of land allotted in the fertilizer factory premises. With the aim of ‘education to youth, protecting the country’, in this educational project under construction with an amount of 154 crore, boys and girls from class 6 to 12 will get education under residential system. There will be a separate campus for the students. The administrative building of the school will show the ancient Indian culture and tradition. The hostels here will be dedicated in the name of national heroes. Different places on the campus will be named after the brave soldiers of the army. Several sports courts and grounds will also be developed for the sports activities of Sainik School students.
