Second Bihar Social Science Congress was organized in Patna College on Saturday. In the inaugural session, the health system: situation, challenges and possibilities were discussed.
General Secretary Dr. Anil Kumar Rai said that the purpose of this institution established from the year 2017 is to encourage research work in English along with the social and economic progress of the common people. Dr. Satyajit Kumar Singh as the chief guest in the program said that Bihar is very backward in health indicators in the report of NITI Aayog. There are only 19 medical colleges in Bihar, which are very few.
Patna College Principal Dr. Ashok Kumar, Former Principal Dr. Raghunandan Sharma, Prof. Shefali Roy and DM Diwakar also gave their views. After the technical session, the second SP Verma Memorial Lecture was also held. Finally, there was a general meeting of the Bihar Academy of Social Sciences. Dr. Shakeel Ahmed, Dr. Priyanka Singh, Dr. Sompriti, Prof. Lal Babu Yadav, Prof. Arun Kumar, Dr. G. Shankar etc. were present. Dr. Rakesh Ranjan was also present in the program.
