There is hardly a day in the Indian journalism world when no news is published or headlines are made about Jammu and Kashmir, but the representation of Jammu and Kashmir on the ground in the journalism world is negligible. Now this situation is expected to change soon. Because the preparation for preparing journalists within the Union Territory has started. In this sequence, the University of Jammu i.e. University of Jammu has taken the initiative to prepare journalists within the state.
Vice Chancellor said – it was long awaited
In addition to classes, there will be practical and interactive programs
Language labs and community radio stations are also being built
The Vice Chancellor said that a Media Studies Center would also be established under the department. This will include oral history cell, language laboratory and community radio stations. These are all ready and in the final stages of completion. Once they are fully prepared, students will be able to gain hands-on experience in handling the skills and latest equipment related to the media industry. Vice Chancellor Dhar expressed confidence that the department would be an important part of the university and would in the coming days create our brand ambassadors through pass out students.
